Square Washers

Description

HBS Fasteners manufactures premium Square Washers, the preferred choice for structural and heavy-construction applications. Unlike round washers, the square geometry provides a significantly larger bearing surface, which prevents the bolt head or nut from pulling through or “sinking” into soft materials like wood or thin metal. These washers are also commonly used in “C-channels” and “U-beams” because their flat edges prevent them from rotating during tightening, making them ideal for restricted spaces where a standard washer might spin.

• Standard: Manufactured in accordance with DIN 436 (Standard Square) or DIN 434 / DIN 435 (Tapered Square for U/I Beams).

• Size Range: Available in metric sizes from M6 up to M36 and above, with various thicknesses to handle extreme loads.

• In-House Control: Produced using raw materials from our own facility. We ensure that the edges are clean and the thickness is uniform, providing a perfectly flat contact area that eliminates “point-loading” which can lead to material cracks.

• Surface Finishing: Options include Hot Dip Galvanized (HDG) (the industry standard for outdoor timber/steel work), Zinc Plating, and Black Phosphate.
