Belleville Washer

Description

HBS Fasteners manufactures premium Belleville Washers, engineered for applications where standard flat washers or coil springs fail to provide sufficient tension. These washers are shaped like a shallow cone, which gives them a “spring-like” characteristic. When compressed, they exert a continuous radial force that counteracts the loosening of bolts. They are particularly effective in assemblies that experience high levels of vibration, heavy load fluctuations, or extreme temperature changes, as they compensate for the “relaxation” of the bolt over time.

Technical Specifications

• Standard: Manufactured in accordance with DIN 6796 (Heavy Duty) and DIN 2093 (Disc Springs).

• Design Feature: Conical geometry allows for stacking in series (to increase deflection) or in parallel (to increase load capacity).

• Load Capacity: Capable of generating very high loads with a small amount of deflection compared to standard springs.

• Size Range: Available in standard metric sizes for bolts ranging from M3 to M36 and above.

• Functionality: Provides a “live” loading effect on the fastener, ensuring the joint remains tight even under mechanical stress.

• Stainless Steel: Available in A2 (304) and A4 (316) for corrosion resistance in chemical and food-processing environments.

• Other Materials: Produced in High-Tensile Spring Steel (50CrV4 / 65Mn) for maximum fatigue life and load retention.

• In-House Control: Utilizing raw materials from our own facility, we ensure precise heat treatment to achieve the perfect “spring memory.” Every washer is tested for its load-bearing consistency to ensure it does not “flatten” permanently under pressure.

• Surface Finishing: Options include Mechanical Zinc Plating, Black Oxide, Phosphating, and Geomet coating.
